Monster Jam is one of my favorite things to do. From the moment the show is over I'm already looking forward to the next one. For some reason the thrill of those big trucks flying through the air and racing is entrancing to me. I'm in awe each time. If someone would ask me, "Hey want to go for a ride?" My hand would go up so fast, and I would jump in the truck. Someday maybe, is it a pipe dream to ride in one? I hope not, and I do wish I will get the thrill of it one day.
As you can imagine the day was an awesome day. It started with the pit party. Now if you have never been, get those tickets and go. It's a place where you can meet the drivers, and take pictures up close of the trucks. So when you are watching the show you know that you met that driver, saw that truck up close and somehow it makes it more personable watching.
We had a great time, of course, I had to get pictures with all the drivers. I think Monster Jam is more for this mom than the kids. My older boy did good, he's very high functioning and did great. My little one, I think he would have rather stayed at home. It was the first year I brought him with us to the show.
The pit party he did great, spent most of his time in the stroller, though big places and crowds aren't his thing. He didn't want his shirt signed at first, but one driver leaned over and sign his shirt while he was in the stroller, after that he came out of his shell a bit.
The show, as always, was terrific. It was cold, so bundle up. Bring headphones or earplugs; we had both. The thrill of watching these monster trucks around the area was just so much fun.
There's still time to catch a show at the Anaheim Stadium.
